Tank Inspection and Repair
The activities of Trans Lex Work Ltd. include the inspection of facilities used for the storage of hazardous and non-hazardous liquids and molten materials, namely storage tanks. Our company has valid tank inspection authorisation and an experienced team of qualified specialists, enabling us to inspect tanks falling under the 2016. (I. 5.) NGM decree.
Tank inspection consists of a number of complex and thorough inspection procedures:
- Comprehensive safety inspection: A system of supervisory and diagnostic inspections based on which the safety condition of the device under examination can be assessed.
- Structural inspection: On the properly cleaned equipment, the series of inspections begins with a visual inspection, the purpose of which is to identify, check and prevent hazardous failures, determine its compliance from a safety perspective, and establish any further required (supplementary) inspection procedures.
- Leakage: A test designed to determine whether the leakage of the device meets the leakage criteria established for it.
- Factory inspection: A visual inspection carried out on-site aimed at checking the external condition, leakage and operating conditions of the equipment.
Following the inspections, the tank inspection specialist prepares the required records as soon as possible. The inspection record contains the time and place of the inspection, the method of inspection, the identifiable designation of the instruments, as well as the results of the supplementary inspections.
The tank inspection specialist verbally informs the Operator of any failure revealed during the inspection that requires urgent action, consults with them on the method of repair, and determines whether repair documentation and a regulatory procedure are required.
Repairs considered necessary based on the inspection, as well as permissible deviations, are recorded in a separate inspection report or expert opinion.
In technically complex cases, external experts are also involved in order to provide our clients with the highest possible standard of service.
