SPM Leonova Diamond Condition Assessment Inspection

A significant proportion of rotating machinery failures can be detected well before an actual shutdown occurs by applying appropriate condition monitoring techniques.

The SPM Leonova Diamond is a portable handheld instrument that utilizes advanced vibration diagnostics and bearing condition monitoring technologies to enable accurate assessment of machine condition, early fault detection, and optimal maintenance planning.

The device combines conventional vibration analysis methods with the SPM HD® bearing diagnostic technology, which is particularly effective in identifying early-stage defects in rolling-element bearings and gearboxes, providing a fast and reliable assessment of the current mechanical condition of equipment.

The inspection may include vibration measurements, spectrum analyses, bearing condition assessments, as well as speed and temperature measurements, enabling the identification of, among others:

  • the lubrication condition of rolling-element bearings,
  • early-stage damage in rolling-element bearings,
  • unbalance conditions,
  • shaft misalignment,
  • mechanical looseness,
  • bearing damage and gear defects,
  • as well as indications of abnormal operating behaviour in gearboxes and other rotating machinery.

Based on the measurement results, we prepare an expert evaluation along with recommendations regarding the required maintenance or repair actions and their scheduling.
